Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania) invites applications for a three doctorate scholarships in Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemical Technology. These positions will give a promising researcher the opportunity for professional development leading to a doctoral degree. The PhD scholars will be appointed for four years.

Researchers at the School of Economics and Business are actively engaged in the following research areas:

  • The role of the dynamic capacities of healthcare institutions in ensuring the competitiveness of distance and digital technologies based products (contact person: Professor Asta Pundzienė, email:asta.pundziene@ktu.lt )
  • ‍Evidence based public governance (contact person: Associate Professor Jurgita Šiugždinienė, email: jurgita.siugzdiniene@ktu.lt)
  • ‍Socio-technologic factors of collaborative consumption (contact person: Professor Rimantas Gatautis, email: rimantas.gatautis@ktu.lt )
  • ‍Irrationality-based consumer experience management (contact person: Professor Jūratė Banytė, email: jurate.banyte@kut.lt)

 

When applying, applicant must indicate one or two research areas from the list given above.

 Applications and the following documents are submitted online at apply.ktu.edu :

  • Official legalized Bachelor’s and Master’s diplomas or a higher education degree equivalents and academic transcripts (translated into English and notary verified).
  • Copy of ID card or passport
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • References by two academic referees or researchers from the relevant field of science List of scientific publications (accepted publications)     
  • Copies of scientific publications
  • Research project on the selected topic (from the list of available topics) –if a candidate does not have any publication
  • Copy of application fee payment (35 EUR for EU citizens, and 100 EUR for non-EU citizens).

Application deadline – October 13, 2017

The evaluation of candidates will be based on the applicant’s potential for research in the field, an average of the marks of diploma appendix, motivation interview, as well as recommendations of scientists.

The appointee must be able to work independently and as a member of a team, be creative and innovative. The PhD scholar must have a good command of both oral and written English.

The doctorate will be carried out mainly at Kaunas University of Technology, apart from a period of study abroad at a recognized research or study centers.

The Doctoral student will get a scholarship according to the Lithuanian Government order:   10,4 BSI – first year; 12 BSI – second – fourth year; the BSI – 38 Eur.
