Mobility and Exchange

Some of the ECIU University challenges or micro-modules may take place at one of the partner institutions and may require travel and short stays abroad.

Please see the description of the challenges or the micro-module for more information on mobility in your learning offer in the ECIU Challenge Platform.

Participants may also decide during a challenge to travel for meetings and co-creation activities with team-members abroad.

Exchange semester at an ECIU partner institution

Contact the International Relations Office at your home institution to check out possibilities for semester exchange within the ECIU network. Learn more about the thematic exchange programmes in ECIU in the fields of Engineering, Teacher Education and Communication (Mobility Minors), and explore the possibilities for participating in a Summer School within the ECIU network via the links below.

Minor Programmes

The ECIU Minor programme allow groups or individual learners to spend a semester at a likeminded ECIU partner university. Learners can choose their host university themselves, as each of the partners offers different courses and specialisations completely in English. The ECIU Minor programme is a fixed set of preapproved courses of 30 ECTS. They fit into the curriculum set of courses at the home institution. Credits will be fully recognised.

Funding opportunities for mobility within ECIU

 Your participation in ECIU activities or your exchange within the ECIU network could be eligible for financial support, from Erasmus+ or from ECIU.

When participating in an ECIU University challenge or micro module which takes place at one of the partner institutions, or when preparing an exchange semester within the ECIU alliance, the host institution will help you to find suitable accommodation.

Student Engagement and Student Life

Since 2021, ECIU University encourages their learners to engage in extra-curricular activities alongside the challenges. These activities aim at creating an important learners’ community where everyone can share their experiences to others and reflect with fellow ECIU learners on the project. In ECIU University, the student engagement can be materialized in several bodies and events that are at the disposal of the interested students.

The Student Agora

The Student Agora is the main student-centred event of ECIU University. The aim of the Student Agora is to gather all the learners of ECIU University in an event where they can meet and discuss with the other parts of the ECIU ecosystem: University Staff, Public and Private Partners and also ECIU Alumni. The discussions of the Student Agora will be chosen with both the learners and the university staff, following the needs of each.

The Student Agora also aims to disseminate the specificities of ECIU University, it is not only a discussion event but also a place where learners can discover and learn about all the activities of ECIU with experts coming to present and answer all your questions.

The Students’ Representatives Meetings

ECIU University is also working closely with some of the students’ representatives of its member universities. The objectives of those meetings is to bring all the representatives together in order to share the best practices in terms of engagement from each university and to work to create a common student vision of ECIU University.

The representatives will carry this vision out to the other students during the Agoras as well as the project management team with the objective to advise on the opinions of the students regarding the evolution of the ECIU activities and their adaptability to the student community.
