Admission requirements

Students will first have to apply at their home institutions
following the rules and procedures of student selection for exchange studies.

Student Status

Students will first have to apply at their home institutions following the rules and procedures of student selection for exchange studies. Students enrolled at the host university will be regarded as regular exchange students.

Acknowledgement of student’s achievements

By nominating a student for the minor programme, the home university recognises the academic quality of the host university, and will accept the credits awarded at the host university for the home degree programme.

Certificate

The ECIU will issue testimonies of participation for all those students passing the full course load of the exchange semester at the host university. 

Tuition fees & Scholarships 

Students are exempted from paying tuition or registration fees at the host universities. Besides participating in the Erasmus+ programme, no formal scholarship programme is attached to this programme

Housing, travel and other costs

The host university will provide assistance to incoming students in finding accommodation for the stay abroad. The host universities are not expected to cover any housing, travel, health insurance, etc. expenses of incoming students.

Period of study

Bachelor students of Mechanical Engineering in their final coursework year are eligible to participate in the Minor Programmes. For EU universities this means: students in their 3rd or 4th year. Participating universities will strive to remove all other participation requirements.

Programme content

Semesters are compiled as so called exchange packages of 30 ECTS, where subjects are matched to create a themed semester. Furthermore, each exchange package is fitted to the course schedule in a way that each course can be followed without any overlap to the rest of the package.

Examination

Students are expected to participate in the exams as set out by the host university, and according to the host universities rules and regulations for examination and grading.
