ECIU Position Paper on Public Engagement aims at promoting public engagement by emphasizing closer interaction between higher education, the private and public sectors, and society and giving recommendations for ECIU initiatives to enhance public engagement.
Engaging with the public is not merely a checkbox. It's a dynamic process that propels organizations, communities and initiatives forward. What needs to be done for the university to become increasingly ‘relevant’ (to society) and ‘responsive’ (to the needs of society)?
By enhancing public engagement, we unlock innovation, empower the community, improve thematic relevance and the impact of scientific discovery, etc.
