ECIU University high-level conference: A Competitive Future with European Universities

ECIU University is excited to invite you to its high-level conference “A Competitive Future with European Universities”, taking place in Brussels on 25th March, 2026. The event, that will also be streaming online, will reflect on how European Universities alliances contribute to European competitiveness’ ambitions through their deep collaboration model and engagement of societal actors in learning, doing research, innovation and knowledge valorisation at a European scale.
The conference will bring together societal stakeholders that work together with ECIU University and its partner institutions all over Europe, European policy-makers, regional representations, European stakeholders, and representatives from European Universities alliances. We hope to see you too!

15:30 – Welcome Jan-Ingvar Jönsson, ECIU President
15:35 – Keynote speech by Magda de Carli (Deputy Director and Head of Unit ERA, Spreading Excellence and Research Careers) on the European competitiveness agenda.
15:50 – Panel discussion with Mireia Munté (Director of the International Area, Associación Bienestar y Desarrollo), Stefan Zotti (Deputy-Head of Unit Higher Education, European Commission), Magda de Carli (Deputy Director and Head of Unit ERA, Spreading Excellence and Research Careers) and audience.
