New white paper details ECIU University's experience building a community across 12 institutions

Between 2022 and 2026, ECIU University successfully brought students, teachers, researchers, support staff and societal partners together as part of a growing community across 12 institutions. Over 5,000 learners took part in its learning opportunities, over 700 people joined three editions of the ECIU University Forum, and over 2,500 people became part of its digital spaces.
Now, the latest practice-based white paper, 'From network to community: How ECIU University built a community across 12 universities, 2022-2026', details key steps and methodology behind the recent achievements.
The paper spotlights community coordinators, local events, alliance-wide activities, and digital spaces as key building blocks of ECIU University's approach, explores the significance of building a community around shared practices, discusses the role student communities play in the process, and shares advice for fellow alliances. This way, it hopes to inspire a wider conversation – and further innovation in higher education across Europe.

We are currently piloting AI-generated white papers within ECIU University. These papers are based on the work performed in the ECIUn+ project and described in our deliverables.
The following paper was created by Claude, based on the contents of our deliverables and additional presentations, after jointly deciding on the structure, messaging and argumentation. The final content's truthfulness, consistency and messaging have been thoroughly checked. While we have chosen to publish AI-generated whitepapers based on our own best practices, we do not publish fully AI-generated policy papers or opinion pieces.
We are looking forward to your reactions.
