Registration Open for “Towards a joint European Degree: Perspectives from across the ECIU Alliance” , Lodz University of Technology, 29–30 September 2026

We are currently standing at the threshold of significant changes in European higher education. Over the past several months, intensive discussions on the future of the European Degree have been taking place across Europe, while the ECIU Alliance has become actively involved in not one, but two projects dedicated to developing and testing pilot solutions related to the European Degree initiative.
In this context, we would like to create a space for reflection and discussion on where the ECIU Alliance currently stands in this evolving landscape and what directions may shape our future activities.
The event will bring together representatives of higher education institutions and other stakeholders interested in the development of joint educational opportunities. The conference will focus on current approaches to joint and double degrees, examples of flexible learning pathways, as well as recent developments related to the European Degree initiative.
The programme will combine different formats, including keynote presentations, short case-based talks showcasing institutional experiences, and panel discussions. Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in a dedicated session focused on practical aspects of implementing the European Degree Label, including identifying challenges, sharing solutions, and collaboratively working on operational approaches.
The conference programme, travel information and other practicaldetails can be accessed on the conference website. Conference "Towards a joint European Degree" | ECIU - Politechnika Łódzka
