Project overview

The "Citizen Science and the Societal Impacts of Artificial Intelligence (CSSIAI)" project aims to explore the integration of citizen science into AI research by fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration among diverse stakeholders. Taking a blended mobility approach, partners from DCU, TUL and UAB will engage in virtual and face-to-face exchanges, combining knowledge-sharing workshops and joint research engagement activities. In addition to Knowledge Sharing Forums, where best practices in citizen science will be explored, Participatory Engagement pilots will actively involve citizens in discussions about AI research. The pilots will take a co-creation approach, working closely with local communities in Dublin, Łódź, and Barcelona. By using citizen science and participatory methods to explore the societal impacts of AI, CSSIAI creates learning opportunities that can help shape a European research agenda that responds to societal needs, aligning with the ECIU vision for collaborative innovation.
