Project overview

Despite three decades of efforts to reduce transport-related emissions, progress in European cities has been slow, especially in the light of pressing climate challenges. Understanding the current mobility patterns and future perspectives on sustainable mobility among university students in different parts of Europe is crucial. These students are at a pivotal age where lifelong travel behaviours are being established, and their attitudes will influence future generations. This project aims to identify cross-country, cross-discipline, and gender differences in students' views on sustainable mobility, offering insights to inform future policies and educational programs. By developing a framework for future leaders in sustainability, the project will contribute to the long-term shift toward more sustainable mobility systems and directly address the SDG11 goal of sustainable cities and communities.
