To provide students with the necessary knowledge in order to understand, analyse and characterize the solid waste management operations, in an integrated view, including technical parameters of treatment processes and environmental impact assessments, so as the main EU drivers and legislation for waste management.
This course aims to:
- analyse the relation between water use and pollution
- evaluate the effects of major water pollutant types and the parameters used for quantification
- identify the instruments for water pollution control
- acquire the capacity to analyse the aquatic systems, using mathematical models.
This course aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge to understand and analyse the baseline questions of atmospheric pollution, covering topics as atmospheric pollutants, emission sources and air pollution effects with anl emphasis on greenhouse gases and impacts on climate system.
This course aims to provide information about the theoretical concepts of Hazard, Risk, Disaster and Vulnerability, Risk Assessment and Management, Risk Perception and Communication.To characterise natural and technological hazards, in general, and to provide detailed information on relevant hazards at national or local level.To provide tools in risk assessment and management in natural and technological hazards.
The main goal of ICZMP is to enable the students with reflective and interventional skills about coastal areas in latus sensus.
Application procedure is similar to mobility applications, that is, candidates are either appointed by their institutions of origin or the candidate addresses directly the International Office that guides the candidate and contacts the candidate’s institution of origin. Application may be done on paper, by post and by email and is checked by the International Office.
