The specific objectives are linked to the nature of the subject taught - Image Synthesis and 3D Animation Traditional.
The subjects taught are intended to lead to an understanding and mastery of the main tools for 3D modeling, which in large part, the result of traditional techniques of the virtualization industry and decorative arts - the extrusion, the millstone of pottery (solids of revolution ), the technique of Bevel, or the modeling of organic clay (Mesh, Patches and NURBS). The fundamental goal that underlies the module of 3D modeling is the ability to represent three-dimensional objects (imagined or real world) from a set of techniques and digital tools (3D Studio Max) and communicate visually through its volume expressive features. Another specific aim of this discipline is the ability to animate objects and scenarios in accordance with the well-known rules of animation, and be still capable of producing both independent content (3D Movie, integration with video), and also provide content for multimedia applications (simulations, games and interfaces).
Finally, and on the topic of traditional animation, which complements the study of 3D animation hitherto supported exclusively in digital media, we can identify a target, to promote the understanding of basic concepts of animation, its stages, the technological devices and techniques involved in the work of traditional animation.
