ECIU University's practice-based white paper emphasises the students' role in building a European University

As ECIU University continues to build a community across 12 institutions, students play a key role in this process, not only as learners but also as an integral part of how the alliance is designed, governed and run.
The latest practice-based white paper, 'Students as co-builders of a European University: How ECIU University organised student representation and co-creation, 2022-2026', details the journey behind making the student community a key element of ECIU University's growth.
The paper showcases the importance of student engagement when building a European University, details key developments that turned students into co-creators of ECIU University, highlights key achievements and challenges that come with the approach, and voices recommendations for future steps and other alliances.
Supported by ECIU University's own experience and numbers, it continues an important conversation – establishing students' representation and inclusion into core processes as a potential game-changer for European higher education.

We are currently piloting AI-generated white papers within ECIU University. These papers are based on the work performed in the ECIUn+ project and described in our deliverables.
The following paper was created by Claude, based on the contents of our deliverables and additional presentations, after jointly deciding on the structure, messaging and argumentation. The final content's truthfulness, consistency and messaging have been thoroughly checked. While we have chosen to publish AI-generated whitepapers based on our own best practices, we do not publish fully AI-generated policy papers or opinion pieces.
We are looking forward to your reactions.
