Front runners in Mobility: Become an ECIU Minor Ambassador

ECIU is taking studentmobility to the next level by creating a student minor ambassadorship. Part of this Ambassadorship will be visitingeach of the partners in the ECIU ME minor programme, in order to share theexperiences of the student with the ECIU partners. Requirement for the ambassadorshipwill be winning a competition during which the student explains why ECIUmatters to him or her. The Alumni of the ECIU Minor Programme MechanicalEngineering are asked to submit an elevator pitch on the benefits of the ECIUminor programme for students until 15 August 2018.
On the 7thand 8th of June the ECIU minor committee for Mechanical engineering met at the ECIU member University of Aveiro. This first ECIU minor programme, a pioneer in modernization of studentmobility in Europe started in 2016 with 6 ECIU partners. Now, after having thefirst generation of alumni return home, the network reviewed and updated thecourse offerings. The minor allows for up to 120 students per yearun-restricted access to specified course offerings of 30 ECTS at 6 of the ECIUpartners. Upon successful completion of a full minor, the student will receivean ECIU Minor Certificate and, of course, all students get all creditstransferred to the home university.
An action point fromthe Aveiro meeting was the development of a unicornsin teaching programme, stimulating staff member with exciting research andteaching to visit ECIU partners with their most transformative teachinginnovations. And the ECIU minor in Mechanical Engineering, which is currentlyfacilitates 120 students at the bachelor level will expand into the Masterdomain, allowing even more students to take advantage of the ECIU network.
