SHIFT
Project overview
ECIU participates in the SHIFT project, coordinated by the Erasmus Student Netowkr. The project aims to transform higher education by embedding student-centred learning methodologies and developing flexible academic pathways that respond to students' needs and labour market demands. SHIFT responds to the challenges of academic rigidity, skills mismatches, and the limited
recognition of learning outcomes from mobility experiences, directly contributing to the priorities of the European Education Area and the Erasmus+ Programme.
The SHIFT project seeks to empower students as co-creators of their learning experiences and to promote student-centred approaches across European Higher Education Institutions. SHIFT responds to the challenges of academic rigidity, skills mismatches, and the limited recognition of learning outcomes from mobility experiences, directly contributing to the priorities of the European Education Area and the Erasmus+ Programme.
The project brings together European University Alliances, student organisations, policymakers, and research institutions to co-create methodologies and policy recommendations that support international education activities. The SHIFT consortium will influence policy development, institutional strategies, and teaching methodologies, ensuring that student-centred education becomes embedded and sustainable practice in European Education.
