Citizens are already experiencing the consequences of climate change and environmental issues resulting in a sense of hopelessness and disconnect from politicians that can drive change. ENHANCE builds a tool to support citizens' participation to create a vision for alternative futures, providing hope which empowers.

The Project results focus on future-oriented citizen science projects that actively engage citizens while highlighting the potential of combining the Futures Workshop method and the SDGs as a learning strategy to support changing behaviours and taking action on environmental and climate change issues. Results include a Futures Citizen Science Network, online training, trained researchers, a digital guidance methodology book, and national and European events to showcase outputs.
