About the summer school

From the 12th until the 19th of August 2019 the summer school “Leaders of Innovation and Impact” will be organized at the campus of the University of Twente. It is organized by the University Innovation Fellows (UIF). This group of students has followed the Stanford University organized programme and are now part of the worldwide UIF community. Stanford professors have joined last year at the first edition and will do so again at this second edition.

The summer program is organized as a course within the CuriousU summer school. Students learn about design thinking, innovation and receive 2 ECTS upon successful completion of the 8-day program. Additionally, they learn how to solve complex problems with innovative solutions. Students will work in multidisciplinary groups and are triggered to learn from each other. The course includes workshops, lectures, company visits and talks with inspiring people who for example recently set up their own start-up. Read more about the program on the website.

For students

It’s a great opportunity to learn the above mentioned skills, get in touch with the University of Twente as ECIU partner university. Additionally, in case your university is not yet part of the UIF network it could be a great start for student-level collaboration between the universities.

In case of questions regarding the Leaders of Innovation and Impact track feel free to reach out to me or Wim Kamerman from UIF at wim@universityinnovationfellows.nl
