The ECIU University is one of the first Alliances to join the European Universities initiative in 2019. ECIU University connects businesses, societal stakeholders, researchers, and learners and offers European answers to societal challenges. It creates a playground for solving multidisciplinary challenges in entrepreneurial, innovative ways and provides personalised learning and career opportunities for life.

In the pilot phase of ECIU University (acronym ECIUn) (2019-2022), we developed and offered 285 micro-modules, and we have sourced over 160 cases for European-wide challenges from over 100 providers. More than 600 learners worked on challenges on real-life problems, and more than 150 teachers co-created the ECIU University offers.

In the second funding phase of ECIU University (acronym ECIUn+) (2022-2026), we are dedicated to advancing three key innovative concepts in higher education: flexible learning pathways, micro-credentials, and the challenge-based approach.

493 learning opportunities from 12 ECIU members published in the Engage platform. 30 % of them are Challenges, 70 % - Micro-modules.
